PREGNANT with LOW AMH – Naturally with her own eggs !! REAL TESTIMONIAL
Transcription :
If you go ahead and do a quick Google search for low AMH or AMH and over 35 or AMH and over 40, you can end up crying. It could be so frustrating to read the information on that one Google search. When it comes to figuring out what’s going on with your fertility, and obviously what you can do about it, Google can be your best friend or your worst enemy. That’s exactly what happened to Tara. Tara went from being 34, feeling confident about having a second child, and feeling really motivated to move forward and grow her family. Then she did a search about AMH and her age and she felt deflated and defeated. Worst of all, she started to believe that it was never going to happen for her.
If you’re trying to get pregnant and you’re over 35, you have low AMH or you’ve been told you have poor ovarian reserve, I want you to listen to Tara’s story. I want to help you get pregnant and this story can be the one thing that improves your fertility or, I should say, is the thing that gets you going in the right direction on your fertility journey. So if you want more information on this, I want you to keep watching so that you can improve your fertility and get pregnant.
I want you to hear how Tara got pregnant and had a healthy little boy just like is possible for you. But before I do that, I want to introduce myself for all of you who are not familiar with who I am. I’m Dr. Marc Sklar. I’m also known as the fertility expert and I want to welcome all of you to Fertility TV, your YouTube channel dedicated to helping you get pregnant. I’ve been working with women and couples from all over the world for over 18 years through my online fertility coaching programs and, if you’re lucky enough to be right here in San Diego, at one of my clinics. I want to help you too, which is why I’m creating this video and why I’ve created all my other videos.
I also want to let you all know before we get into the heart of this segment that I’ve got some great news. My online fertility coaching program is open for enrollment and if you want to see if you’re a good fit for me and my team to help support you on your fertility journey, then I want you to apply to see if you qualify. All you have to do is use the link in the description below to fill out the form and then move on to the next steps. Tara joined one of my coaching programs, and this was the start to changing her mindset for her to start to believe in herself and get the results that she deserves and wanted. This is the same thing for so many of the members who join my program, and that’s why I want to share her story with you all. I want you to learn from what she did so that your process, your journey could be made easier and simpler. So let’s listen to her story now.
Very easy to get pregnant, no problem, totally fine. So when I turned 34, I decided I wanted to have another one. We’d waited a couple of years and it was time and I wasn’t getting pregnant, wasn’t getting pregnant. I thought, “Okay, I was still breastfeeding. I need to just probably stop breastfeeding and then maybe I’ll get pregnant.” So I stopped breastfeeding. Still wasn’t getting pregnant and it had been a year at that point and now I was 35. And I thought, “Well, I better just get blood work. Maybe there’s just something a little off that I need to tweak.” So I went and I just did some natural … Or not natural, just some blood tests to just get where everything was. The thyroid. I didn’t even know what an AMH was, FSH. I didn’t know any of these things.
So there’s a couple of points to start off here. First of all, let’s acknowledge that Tara already had a child. She was 34 when she was starting to try for her second. Like all of you should do, whether you’re trying for your first or your second, you’ve got to give it some time to really see if you can get pregnant on your own doing what you’ve been doing, which is exactly what she did. She was able to get pregnant easily the first time in her mind. It shouldn’t be a problem the second time, so she moved forward trying to get pregnant, which is exactly what you should have done. Then at that point, after some months of trying and becoming a little bit more frustrated and not knowing what was going on, she did the next right step, which is exactly what all of you should also be doing, which is getting tested.
So many of you reach out to me asking questions about what you should be doing and I want all of you to know the first step when you want to start to get more answers is to get blood testing done, to get your hormones tested and to understand what all of that means, which exactly what she did. Interestingly enough, she didn’t even know what some of her hormones were, what the significance was and how they impacted her fertility. So that was the first step for her in moving forward, which is, again, what all of you should be doing is getting tested and understanding what those labs mean.
I mean, I was familiar with progesterone and estrogen, but those things I had no idea. So the blood test comes back and I’m told I have low AMH and I didn’t even know what that meant at first. Then I unfortunately Googled it and cried and cried and cried and I saw a naturopathic doctor.
So this is exactly what we started off with in this video, right? She did what everybody, all of us do, which is we want more information on something. In this case, it was AMH. Her doctor told her that she had low AMH. She went to Google to see what it meant. She did the search and she freaked out. She got so upset. She started to cry, which is something I hear over and over and over again. I’m not suggesting we shouldn’t be sad and that we shouldn’t acknowledge our emotions, but sometimes searching for this information doesn’t give us the clear information and knowledge and understanding that we really deserve, and we get these snapshots because the first thing you’re going to see when you Google that is you’ve got low reserve, your fertility is declining and your only option is IVF. And that’s why she was upset.
So when she said probably the next step would be seeing an endocrinologist [inaudible 00:06:30], my heart sunk. I thought, “Oh my gosh, I didn’t think 34 was late to be having my second child,” and I really thought I might not be able to have any more kids. I was crushed. I can think how emotional I felt at that moment. So I decided that I was just going to research and get all this information and find out how you increase it. What do you do? I just started Googling up a storm. So I went and I started watching all the videos and I thought, “Okay, I just need to get really, really healthy,” and I found Marc Sklar and I listened to him and I started watching all of his videos. I was so fascinated about what he had to say. There was so much hope in all of his videos that you could do it.
Then I saw a video on low AMH and I was so happy to see that and it made sense to me because other markers, it seemed like, “Okay, well maybe I was just low in vitamin D.” I was just trying to hold onto something and I met with him and I was so happy. I can’t even tell you, I was so thrilled.
I want you all to know that Google can be good and bad, right? It gives you all sorts of information, but the despair that she had initially when she read that information turned to determination, and I want to see the same thing for all of you. I want that to turn into determination to get results and see results and, more importantly, to make changes in yourself, which is exactly what Tara did. Then she searched because she wanted more useful information, more practical information than just IVF. That’s when she found my videos, which is I’m sure many of you have done the same thing. But what it did for her first and foremost was spark hope. It sparked the hope in her that things were possible. Her second child was a possibility, as long as she had the right information and the right plan to move forward, which was really key in her situation and also key for many of you.
He looked at all my labs, Marc said, “Okay, do one more test for me and we want to see if he has a varicocele.” I was like, “What? I don’t even know what this thing is. What is a varicocele?” Based on his count. So he tells me what it is, I’m looking up with this is, we find a specialist that he recommends, boom, there you go.
So I want to say that even though she had low AMH, that wasn’t the only issue. Right? We still always have to account for the other half. We always have to account for the sperm as well. So aside from having to address the AMH and her situation, we also had to address her husband and the varicocele. So for those of you who don’t know what a varicocele is, this is a varicose vein in the testes and we had to understand if that was there because that completely alters the plan and the approach on his side of things. If it’s there, we have to address both sides of the equation, right? This is something I discuss often with the couples in my hope fertility program. This is often what I discuss when I have my calls with all of you is that we have to assess both sides of things to yield all the results that we want to get the results that you want and deserve.
That’s what we did for her and her husband. We had to get a 360 degree approach to create a proper plan, and that’s what we do for everyone in any one of my programs and Tara was no different.
We knew the icing and two months later, pregnant again, and now I have my seven month old.
So listen to what she said. I put together a plan for her and her husband. They followed it for two months and click, they were pregnant. That’s the power of understanding your fertility, your needs, and having a plan that is customized to what you need. I’m not saying that the general information that you’re going to read online or catch on any of my videos aren’t helpful. They absolutely are. They were the spark to get her going and making changes. By the time we had our initial call, she had already started to make changes. So that information is super powerful and important, but it’s not the end. It’s the beginning. So after just two months, she was able to get pregnant and as she mentioned, have a healthy baby. Obviously not after two months, but after another nine or 10.
So here’s the key, though. It doesn’t always happen that fast. Okay? For some, it takes two months. For some, it takes four. For some, it takes six. Whatever that combination is and I can tell you countless stories of women and couples in my programs that have had those results over those lengths of time, the biggest variable was having the plan that was customized and adjusted over time for their needs and their determination and their commitment to the process. I know that all of you watching can do the same thing.
So, yay! It was so, so, so worth it. One thing I would say, because I was in that boat, I was trying not to spend too much money because I felt like was spending so much on this supplement, that supplement, acupuncture. I felt like I was spending so much money and I thought, “Well, maybe the information [inaudible 00:12:03] will be helpful enough, and then I won’t need to pay for a consultation.” That was my original thought. I was hoping. Okay. But I just wasn’t getting pregnant. I’m so glad I just went ahead and paid for the consult because we never would have found that my husband had a varicocele.
Now, here’s an important piece. Okay. As I mentioned before, she said she started to do all the things that I discuss in my videos because she wanted to start there, conserve their finances, which is totally reasonable for all of us. Right? But sometimes we just don’t know what we don’t know. We don’t know what we’re missing because we don’t have the full picture, the full understanding of everything we need to be looking at. Right? Hopefully, by watching my videos, you now have more information and you’re empowered with knowledge to be able to make better choices and investigate deeper, which I hope is true for all of you. But we still don’t sometimes know what we don’t know.
So I still want to encourage all of you that if you’ve been trying for over six months, if you’ve already started to incorporate all the tips and information that I’ve given you in all of my videos and resources, that you’ve done the beginning steps to this, but there could possibly be more. That if you want to dig deeper, if you think it’s time to search for the things that you just don’t know you should be searching for and looking at, then I want to encourage all of you to apply for a discovery call to see if you can work with me and my team. That link again is in the description below. It’s a really simple form, and it will guide you through the process
Already gone and seen a naturopathic doctor and they were having me go in one direction. I went to see an acupuncturist that a lot of friends really recommended. She made me cry. I thought, “Oh my gosh, I’m never going back to her again.” When I finally went to Marc, I felt like, “Wow, okay, have the right person. I know he’s going to help me get this,” and he did. It’s priceless to have somebody who can look at all the information, you’ve already had all these tests, maybe you need to do a few more, but he can look at everything and find that. That was a massive thing.
So if there’s a couple things that I want you to take out of this is that I want you to continue to maintain your hope, your determination, that you can do this with the right information and the right plan. Then number two, that sometimes you just can’t see the forest through the trees. There’s so much information in front of you that is thrown at you, that you have based on your own testing. Then it’s just sometimes hard to compile it all and organize it all so that you understand what’s missing and how to move forward. That’s exactly what my program does is allow us to filter through that information to help let you see more clearly so that you know what’s missing, what to do next and what you need to do to get the results that you’re looking for.
So now I also want to hear from all of you is what was the one thing from Tara’s story that really meant something to you, that really impacted you, that you really feel like is going to make a significant impact on your fertility journey? All of my stories of hope have this impact on all of you watching and I want to know what Tara’s is for all of you. So comment below and let me know. So I want to let you all know that it’s because of this video, Tara’s video, that I was inspired to create a video series on how to improve egg quality and ovarian health. That video series is coming to you soon. It’s four or five videos. I haven’t quite worked out all the editing details to know how many it’s going to be, but it’s a ton of information, beginning to end, on how you can improve and maintain your ovarian health. So stay tuned for that.
Until that video releases, if you want more information on how to improve your fertility and egg quality, I’m going to leave a couple of videos right here for you to check out. Okay. So before we tune out, though, I want to remind you all next week, I’m releasing the first video in my series on how you can improve your egg quality. So be on the lookout for that. If you like this video, give me a thumbs up. If you’re not already a subscriber to my YouTube channel, then you should be.
