Premature Ovarian Failure: How To Improve Your AMH At 30 And Over

Transcription :

In one of my last videos, I talked about how you can change your ovarian reserve and why I consider myself an ovarian optimist. If you haven’t seen it, I highly recommend you check it out so you can really understand my view and what the latest research is showing about your egg reserve.

In this video, we’re going to go deep into how you can improve your AMH, even if you’ve been diagnosed with POF or premature ovarian failure. I tell you this from experience as I’ve been helping couples get pregnant for the last 20 years, locally here in San Diego at my clinic, and also worldwide with my fertility online coaching program called The Hope Fertility Program.

So, if you’ve been diagnosed with premature ovarian failure, premature menopause, low AMH, or you just don’t know why you’re not getting pregnant but you believe it’s because of your eggs, this video is for you. If you’re excited about this, then give me a thumbs up and subscribe to the Fertility TV channel to get the new fertility videos every week that I put out for all of you.

First, I want to do a little recap. That’s right, I want to talk about the last video on this topic because there was a video in between about answering your questions about your fertility issues. But my recap here is just to put you back in the frame of mind of what we discussed then so that I can elaborate a little bit more.

So, I talked about five myths in my last video. Myth number one is you’re born with all of your eggs, and number two is your ovarian reserve can never improve, and number three, low ovarian reserve can’t be noticed; there are no symptoms for it. That’s right, these are just myths. They are myths because these things can be changed. Your ovarian reserve can improve, and you have the ability to nurture and nourish and grow new egg cells. That’s right, new follicular cells. That is possible for you, but it’s not going to happen on its own, okay? And again, if you want to know more about the myths that I talked about and how I dive deeper into it and the research, then I have recently put out a couple of videos on this topic that you can check out.

But this video, I want to dive in a little bit deeper because I want to cover this topic in a slightly different way. That’s right, a slightly different way, and it starts with right here, that’s right, your ability to change POF or ovarian reserve starts with your mindset. You might be laughing on the other side of this, but I’m telling you that it’s real because if you don’t believe that you can get pregnant, you’re never going to put in the effort in anything else that you’re going to do, and it takes effort. So, do you believe that you can still get pregnant? Do you believe that you can improve your premature ovarian failure or lower ovarian reserve or low AMH, whatever title or tag you want to put on it? What are you going to do to train your mind to believe, and when things get hard, which they invariably will, what tools do you have for battling that? What tools do you have to bring you back to that thought of belief and understanding and reassurance that everything’s going to be fine? So first, answer that question for yourself. Do you believe it’s possible to change this? Do you believe that it’s possible for you to achieve those goals? I believe in you, and if you don’t have the belief, take a little bit of my belief to start your own little belief. Let that be the spark for yourself right now, okay? And then we can’t just believe; we actually have to nurture that mindset. We need to nurture the way we think because if we believe negative thoughts, we’re going to think negative thoughts, and nothing is possible. But if we nurture those positive thoughts, then we can start to really believe that it’s possible, and then our body starts to respond because we start to take more action. So what are you going to do to train your mind to believe in that? Is it meditation? Is it affirmations? Is it therapy? What is it that you’re going to do? Is it watching these videos? What is it you’re going to do to help you continue to believe, and more importantly, when things get hard, what are you going to do to bring you back? My suggestion for all of you is that you either listen to or create and listen to your own positive affirmations about what is possible for you based on your own needs, that you journal every day. This is not journaling about the negative things; this is about journaling about the positive things in your life. Focus on all the good.

I also want to encourage you to get rid of anybody in your life that is toxic and negative. They’re bringing you down. You need to support yourself and surround yourself with people who are positive, have a good outlook on life, and are going to lift you up. They’re gonna lift your thoughts. These are just some of the things that you can start to do now to battle the negative thoughts, to train your mind to believe that it is possible, and to continue to give yourself support when things get difficult. But what other tips do you have for yourself and for everybody else watching that we can all learn from? I want to hear from you; comment below and let me know what other suggestions do you have to retrain your mind and to get us in a positive mindset of belief and hope that we can achieve these things.

Step number two, you have to look at your body, health, and lifestyle objectively so that you can determine what areas need more support, and then you need to support them. This is all part of the foundational building blocks and work that you’re going to do, just like building a house. You don’t start by building a house at the top right with the roof; you start at the foundation, and then you build the walls and the interior walls, and then you build on top of it and you put things in. This is the same thing. We need to look at our body objectively and our health objectively and our lifestyle objectively. You all know, and I believe that you all know the areas that need more support. Is it sleep? Is it diet? Is it exercise? Is it cleaning up your environment? Making new friends? Being with people who are more positive like I spoke about in Step number one? What is it that you need to do? Right, I want all of you to make a list of all the things that you feel good about, all the things that you don’t feel good about, and those are the things that we’re going to focus on.

I also want you to objectively look at your body from head to toe. Do I think clearly in the morning and throughout the day? Do I have all the energy that I want? Is my digestion functioning properly? Are my lungs and heart, do they feel like I can breathe properly and function properly? Do I move well? Do my intestines eliminate my stool properly? Do I urinate properly? Is my sexual function healthy? Look at all of these things objectively, and then start to make a list of the things that you want to see change.

Without understanding the areas that need our attention, we’re going to focus on the areas that don’t need our attention because it’s easier, and making progress in those other areas is hard. It takes effort and time. So, I want you all to objectively look at your health and create that list of things and areas that need more attention.

And then all of this also still needs usually some support. You’re taking the initial steps, but all of us are typically going to need a little bit more guidance and support to lift us up, see the forest through the trees, right? Focus on the key areas that need attention first and foremost, and then get you there by giving you a good proper plan. So, you still may need support here.

And just last week, I was speaking to a member of My Hope coaching program who said, “I joined because I was tired of trying to figure this all out on my own, and I needed someone to help me do it because I clearly wasn’t getting the results that I needed.” She realized that if she continued to do the same thing over and over again, that she was just going to get the same results, which was not getting pregnant and not seeing change in her health and her fertility and hormones.

So, you need to take action and make a change to yield results, and the first step of that is recognizing the areas that actually need your support and need your attention to make that change. And step number three, get tested. I talk about this all the time. It’s actually an extension of Step number two, but if we don’t get the proper testing, if we don’t understand what our body is telling us (that it’s not telling us right, like with our labs and our hormones), then we’re not going to know what else to put our attention towards.

But it all starts with step number two before we get to step number three, and all of this often still needs some additional support and help. And so, that’s where the Hope fertility program comes in. If you want more help and support, then I want to encourage you to use the link in the description below to speak to one of my team members so that we can find out if you are a good fit for our program and if we can help you on your fertility journey.

But the next piece of this is rinse, repeat, and restore your fertility. That’s right. So, we do this process, we rinse it up, and we start back at step one because we always have to continue to go forward. We repeat by going through step two and step three by reassessing our health, now that we’ve cleaned some things up. What else still needs our attention, and how are we going to get there? And then that will restore your fertility.

And most of all, we do this with time and patience. Making these changes, setting the foundation is not going to happen overnight, and you all need to recognize that. I’m not saying it should take years, but you do need to give yourself the space and time to be able to make the necessary changes and actually, before that, recognize what changes need to be made and then give yourself the time to make those changes and see those results, which is why time and patience are so important when you are going through your fertility journey.
