If you focused on life, business, maybe travel and seeing the world and getting pregnant was not a priority for you and now you want to get pregnant and you’ve been told that you have premature ovarian failure and you feel like it’s just too late, then this video is for you. If this does describe you, then I’m so happy that you’re here today because many of the couples that I have helped in the past have felt exactly like this.

After 20 years of helping couples with their fertility issues and having thousands of babies, I know that POF can be really scary, but I also know that there’s a ton that you can do to reverse that and make change in your fertility positively right now, and that’s exactly why I’ve created this video for all of you, is to start to inform you and teach you about the steps you can start to take right now.

Here’s the thing about POF. If it’s addressed properly and in a timely manner, there’s so much that can be done and you can make a lot of positive change. So in this video, we’re going to get into the three steps that you can do right now to improve your fertility even if you’ve been diagnosed with POF or low AMH. Number one is scheduling yourself as the priority on your calendar. Number two is addressing your hormones the right way. And number three is addressing your sleeping and exercise patterns.

Fertility TV is the place to be if you want to get pregnant, get to the root cause of your fertility issues so that you can have a healthy life and a healthy baby. If you are serious about that and having a baby is what you really want, then there’s a link below this video where you can speak to a real person on my team to see if you are a good fit to join my HOPE Fertility Coaching Program. That’s right, you get to speak to a real person so that they can hear about your fertility issues and help walk you through what the best next steps are on your fertility journey. And all you have to do is use the link in the description below.

Okay. So now I want to get into the three steps that you can start to use to improve your POF and improve your low AMH. But just before I jump into that, I do want to remind you all that next week I’m doing a free training to help educate all of you on what unexplained infertility is and what you can start to do to improve that and actually find the root causes and answers to your fertility questions. It is a free training, but you do have to register for it. So to register, use the link in the description below.

Okay, so number one, prioritize yourself. That’s right. It might sound easy and many of you might actually think that you are prioritizing yourself in your schedule because you’re doing the things that you want to be doing, but are you really doing the things that you want to be doing? Are you prioritizing yourself around your work schedule and around what others want? Typically, when I speak to couples, what I find is that they’re being pulled left and right. That’s right. Their schedule is being managed and dictated by their work schedule, which obviously is a priority because we all need to work, but that they are then making their to-do list their priority. And that might seem like that’s a priority for you and that you are accomplishing things, but what I mean by making yourself a priority is that you’re no longer succumbing to your to-do list all the time.

Now, there’s a time and a place for that obviously, but your to-do list and crossing off those things is part of the issue because as go-getters and people who want to accomplish things and be successful at work and prioritizing your relationship, all of those things start to stack up against you and you yourself as an individual are no longer a priority on that list. So I want you to start making decisions about what you as an individual want. It doesn’t mean that other things have to suffer. It means that you just have to prioritize yourself. So how are you going to do that? Well, I want you to make a list of all the things that you really want to be doing on a regular day without any other influences or impact to it.

Forget about work, forget about your to-do list. What is it that you want to accomplish and do for yourself? It could be reading, it could be a new hobby, it could be exercise, getting out in nature, more time with your partner or your family or friends. What is it that you want to be doing? And I want you to order those in priority. And then I want you to bump up on the list all the things that are going to make you really happy because they are not about accomplishing anything, they’re just about being, maybe it’s just reading a book, it’s just going for a walk. It’s just spending some time outside. This is time to decompress and reset and relax. This is what I mean by prioritizing yourself.

Again, we all need to do those other things, work. We all need to accomplish whatever to-do list things that are on our list that make all our daily things easy like going shopping and whatnot. But what is going to make you happy? That is what needs to very prioritize first and foremost. Yes, it could be exercise, but the things that I find that we tend to leave out are things that really nourish our soul, and I want to make sure you start to incorporate those things. Additionally, by prioritizing yourself, it means that you’re not going to answer emails when you’re off the clock, that you’re not going to be checking your email and your work and trying to accomplish things 24/7, that you’re going to take time for yourself on the weekends when you’re not supposed to be working. We all need a work-life balance, and this is part of prioritizing ourselves.

Number two, sort out your hormones. If we are talking about POF and low AMH, then finding out what your hormones are telling you and addressing them is absolutely necessary. And how do we do that? Well, number one is we’ve got to get them tested and we’ve got to get the right things tested. You’ve heard me talk over and over and endlessly about lab work and how important it is and which ones to get done. In POF and low AMH, it’s even more important because your hormone results and your progress are not predicated solely on that one level of AMH or that other level of FSH. It’s about understanding the entire hormonal picture so that you can have a better understanding for what’s going on inside.

And on top of that, I’m going to take it a step further, it’s also about understanding your overall health and what all of your lab work is telling you about all the other systems in your body. Because oftentimes what we find is that your results and your inability to conceive is not always based on your AMH, FSH or your other reproductive hormones. Often it can be impacted by another system like your adrenal glands. That’s right, your stress response, or your digestive system or your immune system. All of these variables impact or can impact your fertility and reproductive hormones. And it’s really important that you understand that more completely and not just get the lab work and understand it, but do something about it.

So what’s the best way to do something about it? It’s about getting the right support for it, which might not always mean working with your OB-GYN or your reproductive endocrinologist. You might need to get additional support to get those results because you’re OB and your RE are only going to look at things from a very narrow lens, and we need to broaden that so that your whole body is being supported so you can get healthy and have a healthy pregnancy and a healthy child. That’s what we’re trying to accomplish.

And number three, sleep and exercise pattern. So this ties directly into number one. I almost started talking about them actually in number one, but I had to hold back a little bit because I do want to separate them. That’s how important they are. Okay. So when we don’t prioritize ourselves, we overwork and we don’t get enough sleep. Sleep is essential for our bodies to recover and rest for our hormones to begin to regulate for everything to become more in balance. And if you’re not getting enough sleep because you’re prioritizing work or other events and staying up too late, then this is going to become a problem for your fertility.

I know everyone’s saying, “Well, how is sleep related to…” In so many ways, just like I mentioned. And additionally, if you don’t get enough sleep, you’re causing more stress on your body, which will absolutely impact your hormones negatively. So at the very least, you should be getting seven hours of quality sleep, if not more, and I want you to be going to bed earlier. That’s right. The earlier we go to sleep, the better sleep we’re going to have and we’re going to be feel refreshed, rejuvenated, and have a lot of energy and vitality to get going with the day.

So I’d like to see you go to sleep at least 10:00 PM to get at least seven to eight hours of sleep. That would be perfect and ideal. Okay, that’s prioritizing yourself saying, “Okay, I’m done working at 5:00 or 6:00, whatever it is for you. Now I’m going to go have a good meal for myself. I’m going to cook myself a good meal to nourish my body. And then I’m going to start to unwind and get in bed by 9:00, 9:30 so I can be in asleep by 10:00.” That’s how you start to take care of yourself and your overall health, and then your hormones will have the space to recover and balance on their own with that sort of support.

Exercise is just as important as sleep, which is why I group them together. But we often do one of two things when we talk about exercise, we do too little or we do too much, right? And when we talk about too much, we can also be too aggressive. If we do too little or too much or too aggressive in our exercise regimen, we cause more stress on our body. And we just talked about how stress impacts our fertility, but we often think about stress as emotional stress, but physical stress can do the same thing. So I do want you moving every day for about 30 to 45 minutes, a good walk, a little hike, maybe a nice bike ride, whatever that might be, but I also don’t want you to overdo it.

Now, some of us do have some flexibility where we can do a little bit more than others, and some of us also maybe need a little less than others. But in general, you should be striving to move every day. I also do not want you to wake up early or go to sleep late because you’re trying to exercise and get that in. That’s still impacting your sleep, not allowing you to get enough sleep and causing more stress. And I have seen this over and over and over again. So we’re not going to wake up early just to exercise in de-stress because we’ve caused more stress for ourselves, okay? So we want to find balance in all of that.

And that also, again, ties back into number one, which is prioritizing yourself. So I want you now to make a schedule for yourself of what an ideal day would look like, and then your goal is to start to accomplish that by following that outline. We’re not always going to be perfect. We’re not always going to make it work, ideally as we’d like, but that’s what you’re striving for, is to hit those goals so that you can have a balanced day and take care of yourself and prioritize yourself every day.
